Pierre Emmanuel Godet: without taking his hands off

Drawing each creator creates in his own way, this is unconditional. Who then one stroke is enough only for his own signature under the picture. The artist Pierre Emmanuel Godet can draw a whole portrait with just one solid line, literally without taking his hands off. The heroes of his work, he makes celebrities. They are world-famous musicians, writers, cult figures and other easily recognized faces of popular people.

Pierre Emmanuel Godet does not have a special artistic education. When he was an engineer in his youth, later a research associate, and at the same time he was always more interested in art. In the beginning, he painted with acrylic paints, then he tried his hand at oil. Today his portfolio contains an extensive selection of bright, colorful canvases. But he managed to achieve popularity thanks to a series of unusual portraits, drawn with the help of a single solid line. Sometimes he made an exception and tore a pencil from the paper, for example - to draw his characters eyes, nose and mouth. But more often did without it. Sometimes his paintings consist of thousands of round doodles and small dashes. Each component of such works is a figure of a man, or animal, or plant, or object - a house, a car. That is, a certain, meaningful symbol, the set of which constitutes a separate plot. The portrait thus becomes both a form and a content. It is a picture in the picture, even, rather, a story in the drawings.

It turns out that the work of this author require more attention than the drawings of any other artists. His work is evaluated not in one glance, but in two stages. First - the portrait itself, and then - the story inside it, which you can not read at a distance. To do this, you need to get closer and look very attentively.

I was asked: "What are you writing about?". .. And you know, without thinking for a long time, I answered that everything was good. So much around us good, kind. I just started to notice it myself. Every person is like a sponge. He absorbs what surrounds him. Whether we want it or not, it does not depend on us. We can just walk past something or read it, and sometimes not even notice what it was. But all this remains in us, as on a film, our subconscious mind does the work for us, what would later be used to our benefit ... It does not ask us for advice - we ask him. And if this "something" falls on a favorable soil, it gives incredible growth. I'm talking about the "grain of happiness". Which can be sown in the minds of people. And this can bring a rich harvest. I write a kind of fairy tale for adults, for those adults who love good ... Irina Slobodskaya
